Calm
2020 – 2026
Los Angeles, CA
Originated and closed 100+ original music partnerships across independent artists, major labels (UMG, Sony, Warner), and boutique publishers — including the first-ever platform-exclusive Sleep Remix Series with Universal Music Group featuring Post Malone, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry, Jhené Aiko, Kacey Musgraves, and Sam Smith.
Served as primary point of contact for all artist and label relationships; managed full deal lifecycle from sourcing and pitch through negotiation, contracting, and delivery.
Led PRO renegotiations across ASCAP, BMI, PRS, and GMR — built a data-driven framework demonstrating actual usage vs. theoretical exposure, reducing combined asks from $2M+ to ~$213K and delivering $1.5–2M in annual savings.
Produced Calm's first AI-generated infinite soundscapes for sleep, relaxation, and focus; two soundscapes reached 1M+ listeners.
Managed and mentored a music coordinator; oversaw music operations including sync clearances, metadata, and royalty reporting.
Collaborated cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Legal, and Content to align music strategy with platform priorities.
